Now based in Minneapolis, David cut his teeth at the top agencies in London, contributing in both small design led studios and larger branding agencies including dn&co, Egelnick and Webb, Magpie, Moving Brands, Thomas.Matthews and Wolff Olins.

Established in the 1950s, Gloverall, a British fashion heritage label, is known for designing and distributing the archetypical toggle coat.
In this Summer collection, inspiration came from David Hockney’s California splash paintings – with a London backdrop. Archival prints from the V&A also feature here. The approach gives the brand a fresh, modernist edge while paying respect to the label’s long-standing history. Design & direction were executed throughout: set and model styling, and the A5 lookbook.
More than just a barbershop. A lifestyle brand started by husband & wife team – Aaron & Sarah, a pro hairdresser and a hair & make-up stylist for the film industry. With a signature streetwear clothing line, accessories, and a gallery space – The Unruly is re-defining what a classic back n sides experience could be. Collaborations. Collections. A movement. A way of thinking. As well as the initial branding shown here, DWS is looking forward to helping extend their clothing designs in the near future.
The Design Business Association (DBA), London, celebrated its 21st anniversary with a series of lectures, each one led by a figure who has been in the design industry for over 21 years. Speakers included Wally Olins, Rodney Fitch, Michael Wolff, Martin Lambie Nairn, Bill Moggridge, Michael Peters and Daniel Weil.
The speakers were invited to define their career to date with one word, which was then graphically represented and printed using letterpress techniques. A spectrum of light green to deep blue carried the series through in order of appearance.

A postmodern London refurbishment of office, gym and stores, 200 Aldersgate sits over a main street in the heart of the city’s most beloved districts. Referencing the building’s London Wall location, a circular device features at the centre of the visual language. This bold, graphic language is carried through the space: in its wayfinding, interior design and staff uniforms, as well as the integrated marketing campaign, in its brochure, website, and marketing suite.

Ex-Londoner now living in Minneapolis. David started out screen-printing graphic prints, posters and artwork for various music clients. Inspiration found by DWS is more likely to come from a candy paper picked up in Reykjavik than the latest design blog and will tend to hand draw concepts on layout paper than go straight to the Mac.

Branding, packaging and illustrations for ‘Embury Collections’ – a fresh brand looking to focus on outsider masculine lifestyle products. We designed their launch product, a line of scented candles inspired by the woods and whiskey.
Focusing on traditionally masculine themes while referencing bourbon, outdoor pursuits and even tattoo subcultures, DWS created a look and feel which defined Embury's position in the crowded market.
The Eventim Apollo, London, originally opened in 1932 as a cinema. It recently realized a multi-million pound investment, refurbishing its art deco features to their former glory. The world famous venue has seen the likes of David Bowie, AC/DC, and Nick Cave grace its stage.
Inspired by its art deco roots, but also referencing a modern music sensibility, DWS was asked to produce new corporate events material including the identity, brochures, invites and event banners – helping the venue remain an industry leader.
Winberg is an established London boutique interior design agency, specialising in high-end solutions for elite clientele. Winberg sought out DWS for a full brand and identity refresh, a look that was modern, lux and functional. Scope of work included full identity system, stationery suite, web direction and client presentation templates.
